I felt like putting all the sports I have shot with all the other stuff wouldn’t be very good editing so this post is dedicated to some of the sport events I have covered thus far. The slideshows are seperated by sport and specific event (except football because I only shot stills for two games and I didn’t get that many shots from them.) Update…sort of

I know, I know. I seriously need to update my blog. And I meant to the other day but I got sidetracked with other things like finding a decent print service online and spending entirely way too long on the phone with AT&T explaining how the f’d up my bill. Anyway, I did actually compress a recent video I shot last week and embed it into a html page. So anyway, here it is. Basically it is another football game but I think it turned out a little better than the last one. As always: questions, comments, complaints, concerns are always appreciated. Thanks for looking! State High School Football Semi-Finals

Last Friday my editor asked me to go photograph the state high school football semi-finals at Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah. One caveat though, he wanted me to shoot VIDEO. I have barely shot any sports with a still camera and never have I done anything sports-related with video. I was a wee-bit nervous. It didn’t help matters to be the only guy on the sidelines with a Sony HD cam on a tripod. I felt a little out of my element at first, and to add insult to injury it dropped in temp and started to rain. Despite the situation I relaxed a bit during the second game (which is also the second half of the video) and ended up having a lot of fun. Anyway, here is the result. As always questions, comments, complaints, concerns are welcome. Sorry I don’t have a still image to lead into the video. Thanks for looking.

I decided to separate the updates between sports and everything else. So far I have shot 2 football games and a Jazz basketball game. The Jazz game was really fun. I grew up watching the Jazz play so to be shooting one of their games was really exciting for me.
