This was from before the start of the football season. At the last practice I think. Anyway, the sports desk asked me to try and get a portrait of the Higgins brothers after the practice. Thanks for looking.

Since the last post had a Granny eyeing a Ferrari I thought I would post a Granny kicking ass. I’ll admit it, she scared me a little when she was demonstrating some punches which happened to be directed at my face. Anyway, she is 76 and has a black belt and I am convinced she could take Lou Ferigno.

This is a frame grab from a sports car photo-op type event at ATK. I was there filming something else and just happened to spy this ‘ol lady on her jazzy eyeing a Ferrari. Wish I would have had my regular still cameras ’cause this would have been a better photo. Anyway, thanks for looking.

So I couldn’t decide if I liked the black and white version or the color version best. The tie breaker was that there have been a lot of color photos on the blog lately and even more waiting in the archive for me to post. So there it is, my justification for posting the black and white over the color. Although, I must admit the color version carries a lot more storytelling elements because of the American flag draped behind the boy as well as the hat pops off the shirt a bit more. Also the quality of light was pretty nice on the boy’s face. Shit maybe I SHOULD post the color one. AAAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHH. You know, just for the record, I am an indecisive person by nature so this is driving me crazy. I’ll tell you what, why don’t you click on the photo and you can see the color version of the photo and we will just have a vote. So if you are reading this post and looking at these photographs you have thereby entered into a contract with the administration of this blog to give your honest, unabashed opinion, etc. in the comment area. You will not be compensated, because lets face it, I am a journalist therefore I’m broke.
Thanks for looking.

So Julie and I, on a whim, drove through Monument Valley on our way to Taos, NM last weekend. We got there just as the sun was setting. Alas there was a huge cloud blocking the sun from hitting most of the landscape. Sure was pretty though.
Thanks for looking.
