Scofield and Winter Quarters, Utah

Last weekend Julie and I were watching my parents’ house and dogs and we decided to go on an excursion to Scofield and Winter Quarters. My grandfather who just passed away last month was from Scofield and I have always wanted to go and check it out. According to some people it is also a ghost town. (Although there are still some residents who live there). Anyway, it was interesting to say the least. The first photo is the old jail, the last two are of the ruins of the general store near the old coal mine where my great-grandfather used to be a miner.

    Cool photos, I love this area. I tried once to film the old store and surrounding area for a documentary I was working on, but was told I needed to get permission to cross private property to get there. Did you have to do this as well or can you just head up there?
